“Will I have enough room for a pool table at home?”
Disregarding professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts who have more knowledge than most, this question is often at the forefront of the mind of many a person who is looking to a buy a pool table for their home.
While there are those who will have the luxury of a dedicated games room, the majority of us will need to be a little more considerate when buying a pool table and be a little more economical with the space we have to use.
Ideally, to be able to play comfortably without obstruction, you will want to have space enough around the width and length of the table that is equal to the length the of the cue you are playing with.
For example if you are playing on a 7ft table with a typical 57” cue, you will want to have unobstructed space 57” at either side and either end of the table.
The same applies if you are playing on a smaller 6ft table using a smaller 48” cue, just allow yourself the clear 48” either side and either end of the table to avoid the annoying habit of hitting a wall when making that all important killer shot!
